James Hoctor

James Hoctor holds an MS in Computer Science from Duke University and a BS in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Before joining Infinia ML, he worked at Kitware on machine learning models for improved medical training. He previously worked at General Electric on artificial intelligence surrogate modeling of engineered systems.

James enjoys competitive coding with his girlfriend, Alina Jade Barnett. In 2019, they won second prize in the Duke AI for Art Competition. In 2020, they were the 80th team from more than 100,000 global contestants to complete part one on day four of the annual Advent of Code challenges.
