Benjamin Lackey

Before joining Infinia ML, Ben was a physicist analyzing gravitational-wave data as a member of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO). His research focused on modeling and interpreting waveforms and was involved in the first detection of gravitational waves from binary black holes and binary neutron stars.

Ben received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, then did postdocs at Princeton University, Syracuse University, and the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, running, backpacking, playing the piano, and traveling.
